Welcome Song Idea
So I get so BORED with the welcome to primary songs and am furiously trying to teach new ones, but in the meantime I have found a way to change things up and have a lot of fun with it. For the Hello song I have the visitors choose a popsicle stick and then we split up and sing it using new languages. Their favorite is Japanese because they have to say "Konnichiwa" so fast. . .they love it! Another fun way is to say hello like a cowboy (howdy), Australian (G'day), etc. . .

Oh, that's a fun idea, I think I'll try it, too. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI do this too! I found cheap flags online (I think about .49 each) of various countries so the visitor picks a flag and we sing "hello" in the language of that country. The kids love it. Japanese is one of our favs too. :)
ReplyDeleteMy primary loves learning languages! I've only just started them singing "Bonjour" and "Hola" but you've got some I hadn't thought of! Thanks for sharing! They will love this!
ReplyDeleteFun idea! I may just use that one:) Thanks!
